Autism NOW -- resources and information on community-based solutions for individuals with autism, other developmental disabilities, and their families. 

Autism Society of Michigan --  offers educational resources and materials, workshops, seminars and other services

Autism Society of West Shore --provides a bi-monthly newsletter, family activities, scholarships for qualified families to assist with education, equipment, and treatment, as well as information, referral, and networking.

Autism Support of Kent County -- works to provide services that make it possible for individuals with autism to lead healthier and more productive lives

Statewide Autism Resources & Training (START) -- promotes and facilitates systems level change implemented by school staff and administrators willing to commit to using evidence-based practices in the areas of educational programming for students with autism spectrum disorder, professional development, parent-professional collaboration, and service coordination. 

Cerebral Palsy

United Cerebral Palsy -- Educates, advocates and provides support services to ensure a life without limits for people with a spectrum of disabilities. 

UCP-Michigan -- Connecting people with disabilities to the opportunities and resources needed to live productive and independent lives. 

Cerebral Palsy Guide -- Provides free educational materials, financial options, and support to help families.

Down Syndrome

Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan  -- provides resources and advocacy, promotes public awareness, and supports lifelong opportunities for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families


DB Central -- Offers training to promote the best practices for children and young adults who are Deaf-Blind

Michigan Hands and Voices -- Supporting families of children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Michigan Department of Education, Low Incidence Outreach -- Technical assistance and resources that improve the quality of education for students with a visual impairment or who are deaf/hard of hearing, including students with multiple impairments


Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan -- Resources to empower independence and inspiring productive lives for all people with epilepsy

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Centers for Disease Control & Prevention -- The CDC has an entire section devoted to FASD including videos, articles, and free materials for education and training. 

Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) -- Focuses on exploring innovative service delivery strategies; developing comprehensive systems of care for FASD prevention and treatment; training service system staff; supporting families and individuals with FASD; and preventing alcohol use among women of childbearing age

Centers for Disease Control -- An overview of many topics related to developmental disabilties

Children's Special Health Care Services -- Enabling individuals with special health care needs to have improved health outcomes and an enhanced quality of life. Including the Family Support Network (FCCYSHCN) -Emotional support and health information for families who have children with special needs. 

QuitDay -- Organization supporting individuals who are physically challenged in becoming smoke-free and leading healthier lives.

Wheelchair Foundation -- Providing free wheelchairs to every child, teen, and adult worldwide who are in need, but have no means of aquiring one. 

Working Together Manual - Intended for persons-served, their families, community members, providers, professionals and Supports Coordinators to assist individuals choosing to directly hire their own staff using a Self-Determination arrangement.
